The Latest Counterfeiting Technology is On the Money
It seems like just yesterday that greenbacks were pulled out of circulation in favor of big faced, colorful bills designed to make counterfeiting more difficult. If you’re lucky enough to still be seeing Benjamins on a regular basis, you may notice a bit more bling on your buck. Obviously someone at the Federal Reserve got the message about bright colors, patterns and prints having a positive effect on the economy.
Can Lower Prices Save Neiman Marcus?
Ginger Reeder, a spokeswoman for Neiman Marcus has officially verified that the newest brand location in Dallas, TX is actually a “laboratory” to test lower priced shoes, handbags and sportswear.
We think Neiman’s has an interesting approach to surviving the hardship. The new Dallas branch is built in a in a not-so-wealthy neighborhood, and the company has cut down on staffing to appeal to the broader demographic of middle-class shoppers.

Clip This: Groupon Valued at $1.35 Billion Dollars
Last December we filled you in on Groupon, the site that offers deals on restaurants, shopping and activities in several US cities. While we definitely found a few people – consumers and business owners alike, who thought Groupons offered great deals, we didn’t know that a $30 million funding round was only the tip of the iceberg for how highly investors valued the site.
Don’t look for this in your daily announcement email from the site, but depending on which “inside source” you listen to, Groupon is raising or has raised an additional $130 million at a valuation of $1.35 billion. That’s right, billion with a “B”. Just think of how many skydiving lessons or wine and cupcake combos that could get you.

Another quarter marks another update to the Style99, our comprehensive fashion blog ranking of the world’s most influential style blogs. Our total index now includes more than 500 active blogs, up from 400 in the last ranking. The very top of the list hasn’t changed much, but past the top 5 blogs there’s definitely movement. Some of the changes come from newly included blogs, but most come from publishers in the January ranking making significant gains in multiple areas.
