Back in July, a Coty representative told <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wwd.com\/fashion-news\/fashion-scoops\/coty-denies-lady-gaga-scent-deal-selfridges-says-sorry-3182765?src=rss\/recentstories\/20100715#\/article\/fashion-news\/fashion-scoops\/coty-denies-lady-gaga-scent-deal-selfridges-says-sorry-3182765?full=true\">WWD<\/a> the rumors were completely false, and that he had heard \u00e2\u20ac\u0153nothing of this project.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Well, surprise surprise. This week <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wwd.com\/eyescoop\/lady-gaga-signs-beauty-deal-3258966?module=today\">WWD <\/a>reported that the world\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s no. 1 pop star has in fact signed a deal with Coty to create a line of signature Lady Gaga fragrances.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_15946\" style=\"width: 211px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15946\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-15946\" title=\"lady-gaga-bubble-dress\" src=\"http:\/\/198.46.88.49\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/lady-gaga-bubble-dress-201x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"201\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/198.46.88.49\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/lady-gaga-bubble-dress-201x300.jpg 201w, http:\/\/198.46.88.49\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/lady-gaga-bubble-dress.jpg 392w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 201px) 100vw, 201px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-15946\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">If Madonna&#39;s cone bra could inspire a fragrance bottle, our money&#39;s on Lady Gaga&#39;s bubble dress playing a role in future fragrances<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The same Coty executive who denied the rumors a few months back, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing in the Coty Beauty division Stephen Mormoris, said the agreement was worked out last week, and the first of several future Lady Gaga women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s scents is set to launch in spring 2012.<\/p>\n<p>We love to say I told you so \u00e2\u20ac\u201c note this direct quote from a <a href=\"http:\/\/198.46.88.49\/beauty\/no-fragrance-deal-for-lady-gaga-yet\">past Signature9 post on the subject<\/a>: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Even though Gaga is not working on a scent yet, we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re betting she will be at some point.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Bloggers around the Web continue to speculate what Gaga\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s perfumes will smell like, with some guessing it will have rubber or hairspray notes. {<a href=\"http:\/\/fashionista.com\/2010\/09\/lady-gaga-gets-a-fragrance-finally\/\">Fashionista<\/a>} We can only hope none of the fragrances smell like <a href=\"http:\/\/198.46.88.49\/fashion\/why-lady-gagas-raw-meat-dress-is-the-least-shocking-thing-she-wore-last-night\">raw meat <\/a>(BTW is anyone else wondering how Gaga kept from stinking like rotting flesh at Sunday night\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s VMAs?).<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re sure the beauty execs at Coty will come up with something wearable.
