We covered the top 10 Fashion’s Night Out events for celeb seekers<\/a>, but if your idea of a shopping good time doesn’t involve battling throngs of adoring fans, there are plenty of events that give a good reason to come out. Silent auctions, charitable contributions, complimentary cocktails and shopping bonuses are just a few of the things on offer.<\/p>\n

Akris<\/h3>\n

Who<\/strong>: Former Anna Wintour assistant Claiborne Swanson Frank, Veronica Swanson Beard, Alexis Swanson Traina, and Vogue Photography Director Ivan Shaw<\/p>\n

What<\/strong>: A photography exhibition Indigo Light is a series of portraits by Claiborne Swanson Frank. Partial proceeds benefit Baby Buggy.<\/p>\n

Where<\/strong>: 835 Madison Avenue<\/p>\n

Anthropologie<\/h3>\n

Who<\/strong>: Landscape artist Jim Denevan, the subject of a documentary by filmmaker Meredith Danluck.<\/p>\n

What<\/strong>: Denevan’s drawing on Siberia\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Lake Baikal is displayed on Anthropologie\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s digital exhibition space, www.theAnthropologist.net. Attendees will get a sneak peek of Danluck\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s documentary about the artist’s Siberia expedition while enjoying cocktails.<\/p>\n

Banana Republic (Soho location)<\/h3>\n

Who<\/strong>: Banana Republic designers offering style tips from 6-8pm.<\/p>\n

What<\/strong>: Sparkling wine, hors d\u00e2\u20ac\u2122oeuvres and shopping incentives on full-priced merchandise all night long and a presentation of the 2010 Fall\/Holiday Collection. Purchases of $100 or more and gain entry into a drawing for two tickets to the Banana Republic Spring\/Summer 2011 fashion show.<\/p>\n

Blanc de Chine<\/h3>\n

Who<\/strong>: Musician Dana Leong, performing live. Leong is a cellist, trombonist and composer whose music combines hip-hop, jazz and electronic music.<\/p>\n

What<\/strong>: Catering, a gift with purchase, raffle for one of Blanc de Chine’s $400 travel blankets and the opportunity to view one-of-a kind items from the Museum of Chinese in America’s historical collection. A percentage of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the museum.<\/p>\n

Herm\u00c3\u00a8s<\/h3>\n

Who<\/strong>: Herm\u00c3\u00a8s scarf specialists<\/p>\n

What<\/strong>: An evening of scarves, seemingly built around the style spotting site J\u00e2\u20ac\u2122aime mon carr\u00c3\u00a9<\/a>. Show off\u00c2\u00a0 your own Herm\u00c3\u00a8s scarf or stop by for scarf-tying demonstration showcasing fall styles from 6pm – 8pm.<\/p>\n

BCBG Max Azria<\/h3>\n

Who<\/strong>: Lubov and Max Azria, who will be on hand to honor five women from the New York Police and Fire Widows\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 and Children\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Benefit Fund.<\/p>\n

What<\/strong>: From 8-10 pm the first 50 guests in attendance will receive a Runway Survival Kit, featuring BCBG accessories and beauty essentials. Complimentary champagne and hors d\u00e2\u20ac\u2122oeuvres will be served, and attendees will be able to enter a drawing for a chance to win a complete look from the Spring 2011 collection, shown in the morning of September 10th.<\/p>\n

What<\/strong>: A silent auction of new designer clothing and accessories donated for the evening, with proceeds going to help those affected by substance abuse, HIV\/AIDS and mental illness . Refreshments will be served as you shop while classic fashion themed films play in the background.<\/p>\n

City Opera Thrift Shop<\/h3>\n

Who<\/strong>: A surprise performance by a City Opera singer.<\/p>\n

What<\/strong>: Get the first preview of the shop’s fall collection of clothing, accessories, jewelry, home furnishings, furniture, artwork and books from 6pm \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 11pm.Guests can also enter to win tickets to New York City Opera performance with no purchase required.<\/p>\n

Ermenegildo Zegna<\/p>\n

What<\/strong>: Complimentary cocktails for shoppers, an Ermenegildo Zegna knit Duo Tie offered only for Fashion’s Night Out and complimentary monogramming to personalize the experience. All proceeds will be donated to the New York City AIDS Fund.<\/p>\n

Subports \/ Vena Cava<\/h3>\n

What<\/strong>: Vena Cava, along with Subports, will be hosting a Fashion Outsiders Fashions Night Out party from 6-9pm. Find one-of-a-kind, handmade items on display, created especially for the event by people who have no connection to the fashion industry whatsoever. Curated artisans include: a scientist, an Oklahoma farmer, an MTA worker, toddlers, and many more. All items will be for sale exclusively during the Fashion’s Night Out event, and for one month afterward on a website created by Subports. Proceeds will benefit the Ali Forney Center for homeless LGBT youth in New York City.<\/p>\n
