You have to dress for your body type, but wide-legged pants don’t automatically equal fat any more than skinny jeans automatically equal skinny. Will you look like the model? Maybe not, but a lot depends on the cut of the pant through the waist and hip in addition to the overall silhouette.

I lived through the 70’s fashion, and survived…Today, the average woman wears size 14; up from a size 6 in the 1970’s.

Today, most reputable fashion blogs state that if you are not close to 6 feet tall; size 2 — DO NOT buy wide-legged pant! “YOU WILL LOOK FAT!”…(do a websearch)

Looking fat is NOT my goal. I am a size 4; only 5’5”. These same fashion blogs state that “If you want to look taller and thinner in the new wide-legged pants; you must wear 4 inch heels”…

According to Purdue university, the average model is 5’11” tall and weights 117 pounds; the average American woman is 5’4″, and wears size 14 — so we must look awfully FAT if the models look like they are a healthy weight in these wide-legged pants!

What I want in fashion is something new; something fresh….For now, I am buying stock, and traveling to Europe rather than buy clothes…
I know the fashion industry can do better…
