Remember what we said about January Jones and the whole she pulls it off, but most people can’t thing? Apply that to Halle Berry.
We’re not sure how many of you watch the Fashion Show (if you don’t, you should, if only for Calvin Tran). If you don’t, a brief aside. Designers have a limited amount of time in which to construct a look and put on a fashion show. On one episode, the designers had to make dresses for cast members of the Real Housewives of Orange County and New Jersey. One of the Housewives of O.C. wore Spanx to her fitting which threw the dress measurements off. When she tried on the dress sans Spanx, it burst the seams leaving a huge hold that the designer had to fix by adding a strip of fabric. The end result was a vagina looking gathering on the side of the dress that got the designer sent home. The point of that brief recap is we’re guessing that’s what happened to Kelly Osbourne’s dress.
Then, there’s songwriter Diane Warren. We like menswear, but part of what we like about it is that it has a reputation for being well tailored. We like black and white because there’s no other combination that can look as crisp and pulled together. Somehow, Warren manages to take everything we like about those things and throw them out. The sloppy shirt, baggy pants and oversized jacket could all have been so chic if they were just a size or two smaller and better fitted.
