I have a lot of difficulty finding trousers or jeans that fit me. Although there are not many men with a waist this small, it is not to say those who do have a narrow figure have an eating disorder. The occurrence of eating disorders is a serious issue, but a mannequin with a 27 inch waist and the rise of eating disorders among men do not necessarily have a cause-and-effect connection. The size of men in the UK and many western cultures is diversifying – while many men are getting larger, there are also a number of smaller men. Fashion retailers would do well to cater to a broader range of sizes to reflect this.
