Advertising Fail: The CW Invites You to Catch VD

Sometimes things need to be spelled out.

But where would the fun be in that? The CW (acceptable abbreviation) is promoting their series “the Vampire Diaries” by encouraging passersby to “Catch VD” (unacceptable abbreviation) on text only billboards. We’re sure Mamma Mia! and Disney are thrilled with the positioning too. The current signage will soon be replaced with a billboard featuring a picture of a young lady sitting on one man’s crotch, with another’s head positioned in front of her crotch.  Throw in a bit of Photoshop fail with one weirdly thin and limber leg thrown over the guy’s shoulder for good measure. {EW via Dlisted}

Perhaps that’s one of those symptoms that makes people afraid to catch VD in the first place.
