As a user of the Droid, the Milestone, Nexus One, The Flip, and other devices, I can honestly say I have never been more impressed with how easily apps move between devices. Sure there is more fragmentation than the iPhone: all the iPhones look and act the SAME. Too Boring for the Android users out there.

As far as Microsoft and their yet again failed attempt at coming up with a viable mobile platform, it is become clear that the closed model of software development is dying. Who wants to develop apps for a company that wont even respect (historically) their own APIs from release of code to release of code? At least Google has a certification process for ALL android devices.

Microsoft is Dead for Cellphone Development. Apple is dying. The REST of the world is going open source, thanks to the investments of Google.
