If they’re correct, we could be hearing about a trademark infringement lawsuit sometime soon, since the shoes have the Nike swoosh, Air Jordan logo and plenty of other Nike branding on them.

There is no way we would ever consider wearing a Teva Stiletto, but you want to know something? Even though they’re probably a counterfeiter’s concept product for now, these 4-inch tall Nike Dunks are pretty darn cool. Especially the purple ones. And the red ones. Plus, all of the styles sell for around $100, which isn’t too terrible for a Nike or a high heel. While we don’t support fakes, a lot of the styles are sold out which means someone’s buying. Something to take note of for the next sneaker collaboration.

Would you dare wear?

Christian Siriano Springs Forward with SS11 and Another Line for Payless http://198.46.88.49/style/christian-siriano-springs-forward-with-ss11-and-another-line-for-payless http://198.46.88.49/style/christian-siriano-springs-forward-with-ss11-and-another-line-for-payless#respond Mon, 13 Sep 2010 20:14:50 +0000 http://198.46.88.49/?p=15811 With New York Fashion Week officially underway, we wanted to take a closer look at one of first and highly anticipated shows to hit the runway. Project Runway winner, Christian Siriano’s Spring/Summer collection hit the catwalk in unbelievable style. The “safari glam” clothes and enormous, draped evening gowns were stunners, but what really stole the show were the fierce footwear for the designer’s Payless collection.

The line was very demure, focusing on shades of red, cream and metallics. The silhouettes stood out with flowing maxi dresses, scalloped chartreuse, sleek white pants and belted mini dresses all- paired with chunky accessories.

The shoes were a spectacle all their own with varying geometric shapes, cutouts, straps and ties. In the past we have seen how adventurous Siriano can be with designing high heels, and this year was no different. The spiky, rounded and contorted designs are unique, yet feminine and classy. {Le Petite Fashionista}

There was some mixed reaction as the show’s attendees carefully examined each look.

Fashionista commented, “The problem with Siriano’s SS11 collection is that it’s caught in limbo between wearable and editorial looks. While the sportswear felt like a tribute to tried and true vacation-wear (slim white pants, leather short trenches, voluminous maxi-dresses, lone ruffles, and exotic prints) his sumptuous evening wear is a unique offering…At this point in his career, Siriano needs to choose a team and stick with it—I say drama all the way.” {Racked}

We agree that a lot of what we saw on the runway was theatrical and extravagant and not necessarily  practical for wear. The shoes in particular, although designed for Payless, will probably be heavily toned down by the time we see them hit store shelves. Either way, we will be the first in line to snag his sleek styles at a steal of a price.

UNDRCRWN x Rockport: Catch It While You Can http://198.46.88.49/mens-style/mens-accessories/undrcrwn-x-rockport-catch-it-while-you-can http://198.46.88.49/mens-style/mens-accessories/undrcrwn-x-rockport-catch-it-while-you-can#respond Tue, 24 Nov 2009 00:18:23 +0000 http://198.46.88.49/?p=6768

We have to admit we’re getting a little tired of all the Nantucket prepster boat shoes rolling out in droves this fall/winter season, but we’re willing to change our minds for the co-branded collaboration between footwear companies UNDRCRWN and Rockport.

The D.O.C. Delta Boot has the classic boat shoe shape, but with quirky pink laces and a suiting-inspired pinstripe exterior the shoe goes beyond basics and offers a unique take on a silhouette that seems to be everywhere right now. We also love the luxe leather/wool/suede fabrication — much more chic than all those other canvas docksiders!

With a limited-edition run of only 100 pairs (and that’s worldwide!) we’re sure there will be a mad dash to UNDRCRWN (both retail stores and online) to pick them up at the November 27 launch, so get on your running shoes and catch them while you can.

Kumfs Steps Into The Fashion World http://198.46.88.49/style/bags/kumfs-steps-into-the-fashion-world http://198.46.88.49/style/bags/kumfs-steps-into-the-fashion-world#respond Mon, 23 Nov 2009 23:48:49 +0000 http://198.46.88.49/?p=6756 “Stylish” isn’t generally associated with the word “orthotics,” but New Zealand-based footwear company Kumfs begs to differ with the idea that beauty is pain and plans to launch Ziera, a more style conscious collection of healthy footwear driven by trends as well as comfort.

Creator and industry veteran Chantal Pilon has high hopes for the line, with VP of sales Craig Taylor projecting that Ziera will represent 50% of company sales within five years.

Ziera targets women 35 and older who want and need more than just good looks from their footwear, yet don’t want to totally sacrifice style for comfort.

We love the idea, because — let’s face it — our feet can’t afford to stand in up-to-there Louboutins the rest of our lives, even if our wallets can.
